Brannen’s Story – Overcoming Disability and Cerebral Palsy

Overcoming Disabilities through physical training. Barren Waldeck was born with spastic diplegia ( a type of cerebral palsy that affects the lower half of the body.). He explains how as a child he found it difficult to walk and always fell face forward. He needed a surgery on four points of his legs that would give him the stability to be able to stand and walk without falling. Barren recalls how kids were not always kind and were insensitive to ask questions like why was he waddling or walking funny. Initially it hurt him a lot. Later Barren decided to join Champions Sports Performance.  He travelled from having the four major surgeries on his legs to deadlift 130lbs with the Champions. Barren believes he can make a difference in being a role model by showing how training can be a way of life
